The Election Commission informs that all campaign activities related to the presidential election should be completed by midnight on the 18th.
Then the commission emphasized that it is prohibited to engage in campaign activities related to any political party, candidate or supporter.
The Election Commission has also informed that the Sri Lanka Police has the power to remove stickers etc. that are pasted in a manner promoting candidates and parties on public or private vehicles.
The Election Commission has informed that 6 weeks time has been given for campaigning for the presidential election and accordingly all campaigning activities should be stopped within 48 hours before the 21st of Janadipati election.
