Deputy Minister of Agriculture Namal Karunaratne said that the guaranteed price of paddy will be announced at a press conference held at the Ministry of Agriculture this morning.
He also stated that this guaranteed price will be introduced by adding another thirty percent to the cost of paddy production.
He further stated that the government has already allocated five billion rupees to purchase paddy and that more than two hundred government paddy warehouses are ready for that.
