Galle women’s cricket team wins girls’ cricket championship.

Galle women’s team won the championship by defeating Colombo by 90 runs in the 2025 Under-19 Girls’ Sri Lanka Youth League final held at the NCC grounds in Colombo on July 29.

Galle women’s team won the toss and elected to bat first. Wicketkeeper Netagi Isuranjali scored an unbeaten 77 runs off 65 balls as they scored 143 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Her innings was studded with 9 fours and 2 sixes.

Middle-order batsman Rashmi Nethranjalai scored an unbeaten 39 runs off 34 balls.

In reply, Colombo Sports Club chased down 144 runs but the Colombo batting collapsed under pressure. Their innings was restricted to 53 runs.

Shehara Iduwari emerged as the captain and bowled out Colombo for 4 wickets for 10 runs.
