Former SriLankan CEO Kapila Chandrasena arrested .

Former SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena, who was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission and produced before the Fort Magistrate’s Court yesterday, has been remanded until the 19th.

He is accused of receiving a bribe of $2 million when purchasing Airbus aircraft for SriLankan Airlines. He was summoned before the Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday to record a statement in connection with the ongoing investigation into the incident.

After recording statements for nearly 7 hours, the Anti-Corruption Commission arrested him and later produced him before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.
