Former President summoned to the Bribery Commission on the 25th.

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been informed to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on the 25th at 9.30 a.m.

However, the former President, while participating in a program held at the UNP headquarters in Sirikotha today (21), had said that since his lawyer is abroad, he will visit the Bribery Commission as soon as he returns to the island.

The Bribery Commission had earlier issued a notice to Ranil Wickremesinghe to visit the Bribery Commission at 9.30 am on April 17 with relevant documents to verify the facts regarding a statement made in connection with the case of Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dassanayake. However, the former President obtained another date, stating that he and his lawyers would not be in Colombo during the Sinhala New Year period.
