The Colombo Magistrate’s Court issued an order yesterday (28) to evict former Health Minister Professor Channa Jayasumana from the said official residence, who is said to have been forcibly staying in the government residence.
The Magistrate issued this order while considering a case filed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.
The Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration requested the Magistrate’s Court to order the accused to remain in the official residence even after leaving the post of minister and to order him to leave.
It is reported that MPs who do not represent Parliament are currently staying in MPs residance in Madivela.
