Mass Media Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that the state media did not get enough publicity for the various development projects implemented by the government.
He said that the inconveniences of the public affected by various dilapidated buildings, roads, bridges etc. should be aired through public media and the people should be informed about the existing facilities.
He said this at the Media Ministerial Advisory Committee which met in Parliament recently. The Minister said that the Sri Lanka Television Corporation and the Sri Lanka Radio Corporation, which are continuously making losses, will be converted into a public company.
