EU delegation to visit Sri Lanka to discuss GSP+

A delegation from the European Union is scheduled to arrive in the island at the end of April to review the GSP+ tax concessions granted to Sri Lanka

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says that the delegation is scheduled to discuss the GSP+ tax concession and its conditions with government representatives and regional officials.

Sajith Premadasa said at a meeting with trade union representatives that the GSP+ concession plays an important role in Sri Lanka’s garment industry, as 28% of exports go to the EU market.
