It is reported that an estate officer was attacked and tied to a chair in the Mapalagama area of Galle. Police say that the incident took place at the Kuda Kudamalana Tea Factory in Mapalagama.
Hearing the officer’s screams due to the fire, the staff working there came to his rescue and extinguished the fire. He has burn injuries all over his body as a result of the fire. Police investigations have been launched into the incident.
