Electricity Board’s losses rise to high .

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has reported a profit of only Rs. 3.58 billion for the third quarter of 2025 (ended September 30). This is an 85% decline compared to the profit of Rs. 24.58 billion recorded a year ago, in the third quarter of 2024. This is according to the latest financial reports of the Ceylon Electricity Board.

This loss represents a 107% decline in revenue compared to the huge profit of Rs. 143.79 billion recorded in the same period in 2024.
