The Ceylon Teachers Association says that the inclusion of 5 questions related to the N.P.P in the common test paper distributed to the students in the second term examination of Matugama C.W.W.Kannangara Vidyalaya should not be a big problem.
Its general secretary Joseph Stalin points out that such problems would not arise if the question papers of term examinations are given through the regional education offices.
According to a proper system, the question paper of the first term examination should be given by the school, the second term by the regional education office and the question paper of the third term examination by the provincial education department.
The secretary further said that if the process is done outside of that, the responsibility should be taken by the education authorities instead of being assigned to the teachers who created the problems.
