The Colombo District Court has issued an injunction order against YouTube creator Sudatta Thilaksiri, known as “Suda”, and another person, prohibiting them from posting defamatory statements or content against Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela of the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy.
The Colombo District Court Judge Sandun Withana issued the order following a complaint filed by Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela Bandara, and the order will be in force until July 30.
The court has issued an injunction order against Sudatta Thilaksiri and Damith Nuwan Kodithuwakku Arachchi, prohibiting them from posting defamatory content on their YouTube channels targeting Pradeep Nilanga Dela.
Lawyers Rasika Dissanayake, Asanka Dayanath and Cherag Nilgiriya appeared on behalf of the complainant, Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela.
