Detained Nadun Chinthaka’s life is in danger.

Attorney at alw Udul Premarathna has filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission alleging that there is an attempt to kill his client Nadun Chinthaka Wickranarathna ( Harak Kata) who is being held by the Terrorism Investigation Division under the Prevention of Terrorism Act,

Lawyer Udul Premaratne states in his written complaint that his client Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne is currently being held in solitary confinement at the Tangalle Old Prison and that there are no other detainees in the prison.

He also states in his complaint that he is being fed spoiled food and is not being provided with proper medical treatment, which is why he is likely to suffer from some disease.

Attorney Udul Premaratne has stated in his complaint that he told the media that a former police chief and a femous minister had demanded a ransom of Rs. 30 million from his client, and that the threat to his client’s life due to making such a revelation about a powerful person cannot be underestimated.

Therefore, he requests the Human Rights Commission to provide protection to his client as a complainant and witness
