Decides to reduce tax on American goods

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that the tax decisions taken by the United States of America are affecting the country’s economy to some extent.

He also said that although the impact has not yet occurred, Sri Lanka is in danger of being affected. Therefore, he said that he is making every effort to reach some kind of compromise through negotiations.

He also said that he has already informed the American President in writing that Sri Lanka is ready to change the tax policy on American goods.

Accordingly, he said that he is ready to send a delegation to that country to discuss this further in the future. He expressed these views while addressing a public rally organized by the National People’s Power in Kottawa.
