The dates for the Esala Perahera festival at ”Sri Dalanda Maligawa” in Kandy in 2024 have been announced. According to the announcement, the first Kumbal Perahera is scheduled to start on August 10, 2024.
Kumbal Perahera will be held till August 14, and the first Randoli Perahera is scheduled to start on August 15.
From that day, the procession will travel the streets for 5 days and the final grand procession will be held on the 19th of August.
