The Criminal Investigation Department is preparing to question former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and former Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena regarding the import of medicines.
The questioning is to be carried out in connection with the investigations into alleged irregularities in the import of medicines by Keheliya Rambukwella, who was the former government’s health minister.
Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is currently on a tour of India. These statements are to be recorded after he returns to the country. These statements are to be obtained by visiting the homes of the former President and the Prime Minister.
