The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today that it has initiated an investigation into allegations that Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa fraudulently obtained his law degree.
The investigation was initiated on a complaint filed by the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Citizens’ Authority.
The CID Special Investigation Unit says that the investigation will focus on whether Namal Rajapaksa engaged in fraudulent activities during the Sri Lanka Law School examinations.
