Former President Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga rejects the statement made by cheif incumbent of Mihintala Rajamaha Viharaya Venerable Walahangunavewe Dhammarathana Thero that she will receive two pensions.
Issuing a statement, the former president states that Mihintala Thero’s allegations are false and baseless, and that she is only entitled to her pension as the former president.
Moreover, she further mentions in the relevant announcement that the presidential pension credited to her bank account will be used only for social services.
