Governor of Central Province, Professor Sarath Abeykon, has taken steps to remove A.G Mudayanse, who was appointed as the Chairman of the Provincial Library Service Board.
That is because Mr. Mudianse is contesting this year’s parliamentary election as a candidate for the Nuwara Eliya district from the National People’s Power. Governor of Central Province had suspended the appointment based on a complaint made to the Election Commission regarding this appointment.
However, it is reported that the governor’s office has made the appointment without knowing that Mr. Mudianze is contesting the election as a candidate.
