A cabinet paper has been submitted to legalize the export of hemp (Canabbise) for medicinal purposes. Accordingly, the observations for that purpose have been called and after receiving the observations, draft laws are to be prepared. It is scheduled to be submitted to the Parliament after getting the Cabinet’s approval.
The Ayurvedic Medicines Corporation has proposed through an annual permit system to identify applicants suitable for the export and cultivation of cannabis on a large scale as medicine, and only those who have received permission will be given the opportunity to start cannabis cultivation.
