The Commission for the Prevention of Bribery or Corruption has decided to dismiss the complaint filed by the Puravis Balaya organization against former Minister Harin Fernando and former Chairman of the National Youth Services Council Pasindu Jayawardena.
Kamantha Thushara of the Puravis Balaya organization, which filed the complaint, told the media that the Commission had informed him of this.
The Puravis Balaya organization had forwarded this complaint to the Commission for the Prevention of Bribery or Corruption against former Minister Harin Fernando and former Chairman of the Youth Services Council Pasindu Gunawardena, alleging that a financial fraud of Rs. 535 million had taken place in the Youth Services Council between January and August 2024.
The Commission has decided not to take further action against the former Minister and the former Chairman of the Youth Services Council under the Anti-Corruption Act as insufficient evidence was revealed.
