Deputy Minister of Transport Prasanna Gunasena said that steps will be taken to obtain cabinet approval to provide a bonus to employees of all SLTB depots in the island that are making a profit and an allowance to employees of SLTB depots that are making a loss.
He said this while joining Kandy District MP Thushari Jayasinghe on an inspection tour of the SLTB depot in Nawalapitiya yesterday afternoon. At that time, the depot employees told the Deputy Minister that they had not received the bonus money that the government had promised to give to SLTB employees.
