The court has ordered the release on bail of Chamithri Rambukwella, the eldest daughter of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and produced before the court.
She was released on bail after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s office yesterday afternoon.
The Magistrate, having considered the facts presented, ordered the suspect to be released on two sureties of Rs. 5 million each.
Former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella’s eldest daughter had been arrested on charges of aiding and abetting the laundering of illegally obtained money.
