The police have foiled an attempt to kill the parents of the wife of an organized criminal named ‘Kehelbaddara Padme’ in revenge for the murder of ‘Ganemulle Sanjeewa’, an organized criminal.
Police say that two youths suspected of being involved in the murder plan were arrested while they were videotaping Kehelbaddara Padme’s wife’s house in Pannala.
It is also said that Kehelbaddara Padme’s wife’s mother, father and younger brother were present at the house at the time of their arrest.
The police had received intelligence information regarding a possible attack on the house, and accordingly, when the police arrived at the scene, the two suspects were seen recording video footage in the premises.
During questioning of the suspects, aged 21 and 24, it was revealed that they had acted on the instructions of a criminal named ‘Dubai Sameera’.
