Lohan Ratwatte has been accused of murder.

The Sarojani Kusala Weerawardena committee, appointed to investigate the case of former Minister of State for Prisons, Lohan Ratwatte, entering Anuradhapura prison and threatening a prisoner there, has released its report. According to the report, State Minister Lokan Ratwatte can be charged with attempted murder under Section 300 of the Penal Code.

The report further states that the state minister who entered the prison forced two Tamil prisoners to Kneel down and threatened to shoot them in the head with a gun, intending to kill them. This action falls under Sections 118 and 120 of the Penal Code and the Gun Ordinance Act.
