India managed to win by 82 runs in the 12th match of the Women’s T20 World Cup held yesterday (09) between Sri Lanka and India. After winning the toss, the Indian team batted first and at the end of 20 overs, they scored 172 runs for the loss of only 3 wickets.
But the Sri Lankan team chasing a target of 173 runs managed to get only 90 runs at the end of 19 overs and 5 balls. Accordingly, India managed to win by 82 runs.
Anushka Sanjeewani scored 20 points, Kavisha Dilhari scored 21 points and Ama Kanchana scored 19 points for the Sri Lankan team. None of the other players were able to cross the 10-point mark.
In bowling, Asha Sobhana and Arundhati Reddy took 3 wickets each while Renuka Singh and 2 wickets.
