Another case against Yoshitha and ‘Daisy Achchi” for money laundering

The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court has ordered that the complaint filed against former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his grandmother Daisy Forrest under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act be called up again on July 11.

When the complaint was called up today (16), the suspects Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Daisy Forrest appeared in court.

President’s Counsel Sampath Mendis, who appeared for the suspects, stated that the Attorney General has filed an indictment against the defendants in the Colombo High Court in connection with this incident.

The Magistrate, who drew attention to the matter, ordered that the complaint be called up again on July 11. The court also informed that the matter regarding this request would be considered on that day.
