According to the report, an inmate of Bussa High Security Prison has destroyed 23 CCTV cameras installed there. The prison authorities have also lodged a complaint with the Rathgama police regarding this incident.
Jail sources say that the 32-year-old suspect is an underworld member and 13 cases are pending against him.
When the prisoners were taken out of the cells for ventilation, the inmate climbed the wall and destroyed the CCTV cameras installed inside and outside the cell where he was held.
