An IMF delegation will arrive in Sri Lanka next week.

It is reported that an International Monetary Fund (IMF) fact-finding mission is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka next week to assess the damage caused to the country by Cyclone Ditva.

The special delegation will be in Sri Lanka from January 22 to 28, said Julie Kozack, Director of Communications at the International Monetary Fund.

The main objective of the visit is to assess the economic and physical damage caused by the recent cyclone, as well as to discuss the potential implications of the damage for Sri Lanka’s policy measures under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, she said.
