An earthquake has occurred in the sea area 34 kilometers away from Beruwala, says the Bureau of Geology and Mining.
The office says that there is no danger due to this earthquake and it is recorded with a strength of 3.7 units on the Richter scale. However, they mentioned that the earthquake has been practically felt by the people of Beruwala and its surrounding areas.
In this regard, Deputy Director of Disaster Management Center Pradeep Kodippili said that there is no risk of tsunami due to earthquakes.
