The Electoral Commission says that the packets containing the postal ballot papers of the Elpitiya local council election will be delivered to the postal department today (07).
Its chairman R.M.A.L.Ratnayake said that the postal department will forward the those packets to the government institutions.
The marking of postal votes in the Elpitiya local council election is scheduled to be done on the 14th.
The Election Commission says that postal voters who are unable to mark their votes on that day will have a special opportunity to do so on the 18th at the district election office of the district where the service station is located.
Official ballot papers related to that election are scheduled to be delivered to the mail on the 12th, and they are scheduled to be distributed from the 17th to the 20th.
The Elpitiya local council elections are scheduled to be held on the 26th.
