America bombs Iran’s oil heart

The United States has bombed Kharg Island, which is considered Iran’s main crude oil export terminal. International media have quoted the United States’ statement that all important facilities on the island were attacked.

Kharg is a small island about 5 miles long and is located about 15 nautical miles off the Iranian coast. The island is considered the country’s main crude oil export terminal and is known as Iran’s ‘oil lifeline’. Iran exports 90% of its crude oil through this island.

Accordingly, any attack on Kharg Island will have a serious impact on the Iranian economy, and the United States is considering sending special forces to capture this island, foreign media reports.
