After the election, the NPP government will dissolve the trade unions

Lakshman Nipunaarachchi, Colombo district parliamentary candidate of National People’s Power, says that after the 14th of November when the parliamentary elections will be held, Sri Lankan trade unions will be dissolve, and as the first step, all trade unions related to NPP will be dissolved.

Addressing a public meeting for the parliamentary elections, he further said:

“Our country has had very unpleasant experiences. The child goes to school..one day teachers strike, another day principal strike, another day non-academic staff strike, goes to hospital to get medicine..one day doctors strike, another day nurses, another day attendants. What a history.

Remember what I said today. That strike history will be lost in the future. Who are you striking against? If there is any problem with the government, talk and solve it.

In 10 to 15 years, the children born today will have to be taught that this is what a strike and curfew”
