Foreign media reports that the Afghanistan Embassy in India will stop its operations from today and will take steps to close the office.

According to the United Nations refugee agency, about one-third of the nearly 40,000 refugees registered in India are Afghans. But that figure excludes those not registered with the United Nations.
“Lack of a legitimate and functioning government in Kabul” has failed to meet expectations of providing the best services to Afghan citizens, foreign sources say.
