A video shared on social media of a tuition teacher assaulting students has reportedly come under the close attention of the Child Protection Authority. Accordingly, the authority is already taking legal action against a tuition teacher who has been accused in connection with the incident.
The tuition teacher has failed to appear in a summons issued in connection with a video. The video shows the tuition teacher administering physical punishment to students studying under him and instructing a female student to assault a student with a cane made from four canes.
When questioned in this regard, Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said that the National Child Protection Authority has taken action against the tuition teacher.
