A importnat informetion about the female student of the Colombo International School, who died yesterday evening after falling from the observation room of the Colombo Lotus Tower, has been revealed by the police today.
Her father told the police that she was a friend of the schoolboy and girl who jumped to their deaths from the Altair Tower on Company Street three months ago, and that she suffered from severe mental stress due to the incident.
Police said that the student and the girl who died after jumping down from Altea tower had taken off their school uniforms and put on other clothes before committing suicide and this girl had also changed her uniform in the same way.
The police said that they are currently investigating whether it was a suicide or an accident. A 15-year-old student studying in the 11th grade has died. She is a resident of Kollupitiya area.
