A serious accident has occurred this afternoon (10) when a private bus overturned in the Jayaganga Junction area of Thalawa, Anuradhapura. The accident occurred when the bus overturned on a slope of about five feet. A student who was appearing for the GCE Advanced Level this year has died in the accident.
The accident occurred in a private bus traveling from the Thalawa area to 411 Village. It is also reported that about 40 people on the bus have also been injured in the accident.
