President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake requests the public to assist to find the state leader’s official emblems which were stollen from the President’s house, during the few days that it was in the hands of the galle face strugglers
Issuing a special announcement, the Presidential Media Unit says that if any person has the official badges of the former governors and former presidents of Sri Lanka, which are of archaeological and artifact value, they should be handed over to the President’s Office before July 31.
From 09.07.2022 to 14.07.2022, the protesters occupied the Colombo Fort Presidential house and during their stay there, many artifacts and archeological valuables inside the Presidential house have disappeared, and the official belongings of former governors and former presidents have disappeared. A number of logos are among them.
