Sri Lanka The “Alliance Against the Division of Sri Lanka” held a protest in front of the US Embassy in Colombo, accusing the US of promoting homosexuality (LGBTQ) values among Sri Lankan children.
The current US ambassador was accused of influencing local youth with LGBTQ ideologies and urged new US President Donald Trump to take action against her.
The protesters also called on Trump to investigate whether USAID funds were used to support the mass protests that led to the ouster of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in 2022.
