Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Jagath Withana says that many people are asking who will be the next President in 2029.
He said that the current President cannot remain in power for another two years and that Namal Rajapaksa will not be able to become President in 2029 since he is still on a 3% vote base.
Accordingly, the next President is likely to be Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who is a person with a lot of experience, MP Jagath Withana further said.
He said this in response to a question from journalists about who is the most suitable person to hold the office of President in 2029.
