To control the huge rise in coconut prices, the Coconut Cultivation Board is starting a program to sell coconuts at subsidized prices through mobile sales vans.
Accordingly, arrangements have been made to sell coconuts for an amount between 100-120 rupees from today.
The first phase of this is to be implemented in Colombo, Kaduwela, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Councils. Then the program is scheduled to be implemented covering all the districts.
