A piece of metal was found in a gas lighter in a fish bun purchased from a food outlet in Panadura yesterday. A girl found this piece of metal while eating with her father at her home in Arukgoda, Panadura.
After finding the piece of metal, they contacted the area Public Health Inspector (PHI). The PHI informed them that he was on leave. Accordingly, they were instructed to report the matter to the Panadura PHI office.
Later, the father reported the incident to the Panadura PHI office .
When the media questioned Panadura PHI Isha Mahindasa in this regard, she said that she had not received any such complaints. It has been stated that action will be taken only if a written complaint is submitted in this regard.
