It is reported that one person has died in a brawl that took place at a mediation board held at the Pethangahawatta Temple in the Thihagoda Police Division.
An argument broke out between two parties who had gone to the mediation board by the Thihagoda Police to resolve a dispute, and an assault occurred. A person who was injured in the attack has been admitted to the Matara General Hospital.
It has been revealed that the injured person has died after being admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital for further treatment. The deceased is a 73-year-old man.
