A suspect who was in possession of a foreign-made automatic firearm, its magazine and five live bullets has been arrested by the police in the Moragahahena area.
The suspect was arrested during a raid conducted in the Magammana area of the Kahathuduwa Police Division by officers of the Moragahahena Police, acting on a tip-off.
The suspect has been handed over to the Kahathuduwa Police Station for further action. The Kahathuduwa and Moragahahena Police Stations are conducting further investigations.
