National People’s Power MP Kaushalya Ariyaratne objects to a statement made in Parliament by Deputy Minister Nalin Hewage yesterday. In a post on her social media account, she points out that she personally does not approve of the statements made in Parliament regarding a woman.
A heated situation arose in Parliament after Nalin Hewage’s statement targeting MP Rohini Kaviratne. Subsequently, the Chief Organizer of the Government Party, Nalinda Jayatissa, expressed regret over the statement and stated that the statement should be removed from the Hansard report.
