Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena presided over a preliminary discussion regarding the demonstration motorcycle ride to be held from Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, through the shrines of India to Colombo with the participation of the three armed forces and young people of Sri Lanka, India and Nepal.
The motorcycle ride coming through the areas of Kusinara, Bodhgaya, Shavastri, Saranath Sankassa is going to reach South India passing Ajanta Ellora in Maharashtra and reach Colombo via Rameswaram. Rahul Patel and Prashanth Karulkar from Maharashtra, India, the main organizers of the motorcycle ride, participated in the discussion.
