President Ranil Wickramasinghe says that if a collapsed economy of a country was brought to a stable level in a short period of two years, it happened only in Sri Lanka.
He made these comments while addressing the “Diyawara Diriya” National Fishermen’s Federation held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Center in Colombo.
He mentioned that everyone should unite to advance the economy of the country while protecting the victory that we have achieved as a country.
The meeting was attended by a large number of representatives including the presidents of the main fishing societies and branch societies from all over the island.
Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda, State Minister Piyal Nishantha and representatives of the National Federation of Fisheries presented the Fisheries Charter to the President.
