85 people died in India in 24 hours due to extreme heat

Indian media reports that 85 people have lost their lives in the Indian states of Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh due to high temperature in the last 24 hours.

According to that, 15 people have lost their lives yesterday (31) due to the high temperature prevailing in some provinces of North and Central India.

The Indian media said that 10 deaths were reported in Odisha province alone, where the temperature exceeded 50 degrees Celsius, and other deaths were reported from New Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan and Jharkhand provinces.

It is further stated in the media report that more than 40 people have been admitted to hospitals in Odisha province, where the highest number of deaths have been reported, due to difficulty in bearing the high temperature.
