According to the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau, 74,499 Sri Lankans have gone abroad for work in the first 3 months of the year.
According to the agency, 39,900 are men and 34,599 are women.
Most Sri Lankans have gone to Kuwait for work and the number is 17,793. In addition, 2,374 Sri Lankans have gone to South Korea, 2,114 to Israel, 1,899 to Romania and 1,947 to Japan.
