It is reported that the railway department has decided to pay a compensation of five lakh rupees to those who fall while traveling in a train.
Accordingly, Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that the family members of the young man who fell from the train and died while traveling on the roof of a train, near Horape railway station, will be given 5 lakh rupees.
Yesterday only two passengers were killed by the train because of the heavy traffic due to the strike of the locomotive drivers.
